Having worked with youth & families for nearly 20 years, it has been my experience that BEHAVIORS are the #1 parental concern- primarily the ones that produce negative outcomes.
HOWEVER...
It is my philosophy that ALL behaviors are an expression of STRENGTH or NEED.
My focus while working with your child or teen is WHY, not WHAT. Together, we'll identify their unique strengths, build upon them while gaining new skillsets, and learn what underlying needs aren't being met (this most often is actively confronting and changing limiting and negative core beliefs). Once we've done this, we can then effectively fulfill these needs- thus, correcting behaviors that cause concern.
